My FIrst Set in 8 Years

This is a set I did at a local comedy tournament, the Comedy CNY Comedy Cup. It occurred on 8/29/2015 at the Radisson Hotel in Utica,  This was the first time I performed in over 8 years, so. my anxiety was off the charts.  However, despite the rust and the nerves, I did very well, by all counts.  I got some big laughs, and consistent smaller ones.  My performance the next year was even better, as I looked more comfortable up there.  I was very pleased with both sets.  You can check out the 2016 performance HERE to see which one you like better.

Back in the Saddle for the 2016 CNY Comedy Cup

This is my set at the 2nd Annual CNY Comedy Cup.  I showed noticeable improvement over last year.  Did many of the same jokes, but I looked more comfortable, and I was actually able to look at the crowd lol.  Watch this set, then go back and watch my set at the same tournament last year. Youll hopefully agree my performance was much more fluid this time.  You can view my 2015 set HERE.

Point Oooohh...Eight??

The DWI law needs to be changed. I totally agree that someone drunk, or even buzzing a little, should not get behind the wheel. However, the uniform .08 BAC level is extremely unfair. A 100 lb female who rarely drinks will almost certainly be drunk w severely hindered coordination if they had a .08 blood-alcohol content. However, for a 250-300 lb heavy drinker, .08 is nothing. These people are stone sober and their coordination is jus as sharp as when they haven't drank at all. I've blown .35 before (I wasn't driving, my cop friend was letting us play with his breathalyzer), and been coherent. I've also blown .08 and no one could even tell I'd been drinking.

I'm not bragging, quite the opposite, as being able to blow almost 5x the legal limit and still be standing, carrying on conversations is nothing to be proud of. I'm saying the .08 should not be a black & white sobriety level.

Even Canada Wasn't This Upset

Not to be an asshole, but why is Alan Thicke's death getting so much attention?  Not even just from Canadians, either, but from everyone? Yeah, he was a cool dad in Growing Pains, but that ended back when the Seattle Grunge scene was just getting started. Justin Bieber wasnt even a glimmer in Mama Satan's eye when Dr. Jason Seaver was still chatting up sociopaths and letting future serial killers around his children.  Since Growing Pains ended, Thicke hasnt done shit!  The only Press worthy thing THicke has done in these last 25 years, is conceive Robin Thicke, the famous pop star

Alan Thicke is way more popular dead than he was alive.  He's actually trending on Yahoo right now! All he needed to do was play soccer with his kid, and die.  Not a bad deal.  Robin made the Top Trending List once too, in 2013, due to his performance at the VMAs. Countless thousands of curious, horny Gen-Xers, and some confused, traumatized Beetlejuice/Hannah Montana fans sought out, then watched Robin serenade the truckstop hooker formerly known as Hannah Montana while she twerked and pleasured herself with a large foam finger.

The Blurred Lines guy had to use costumes, a hit song, a scantily clad Disney star and vintage sports memorabilia to gain enough public interest to make the Top Trending List. All his father had to do was play hockey with his kid, and stop breathing.  Not bad!  However, Just cuz Dr. Jason Seaver was a good TV dad, with a famous son , doesnt mean he should get superstar treatment in social media and the press, jus for dying. The only entertainers who are so beloved and respected that their death was mourned by an entire community, or country, are Robin Williams, Chris Farley, George Carlin, Paul Walker, Muhammed Ali, and select others who's energy, vibrant personality and kindred spirit made a positive impression on everyone who saw or heard them.

They Got Your 6!!!

Behind Every Great Man...is an Even Greater Man!

The most valuable trait I look for in a friend is loyalty. We're all flawed people, inc. (esp.) me, so I'm the last person to judge a friend based on who they know, looks, income or something shallow. While I appreciate any friend who looks out for me and helps me out when I'm in a pinch, that is not something I expect or count on. These are both things loyal friends do for you anyway.

A loyal friend is someone who loves and respects me unconditionally, and won't turn their back on me when I need them most. A person who will stick up for me when people are talking shit behind my back, and who stands by me when I have nothing to offer and the chips are down, even at the expense of their own rep. Friends like those are very hard to Come by, but worth their weight in gold. They can't be bought with all the money in the world. They have to he earned. Not over a few weeks or months, but over the course of a lifetime.

He Already Has A Disguise, Too...

They should do an "Undercover Boss" episode about the Mexican Drug Cartel, because ruthless, mass-murdering Drug Kingpins have caught a bad rep, and need an outlet to defend themselves. It would be a win-win for everyone: The drug-lord would see, firsthand, the entire process of turning a simple leaf into the life-destroying, bank account emptying, soul-sucking street drug we all know and love. He will gain a new understanding of all the blood..sweaty-blood..and teary..blood, that go into running a ruthless, multi-billion dollar sex & drug trafficking operation. Cartel employees/slaves will be overjoyed and humbled, down to their very core, at the chance to be beaten & bloodied by El Chapo himself, not an underling!
